The Gray Man of Pawleys Island

The Gray Man is known by locals to haunt the South Carolina Coastline from Myrtle Beach to Pawleys Island. There are several versions of this legend, but locals believe his presence comes as a warning to locals for upcoming storms. In the past 200+ years, six hurricanes have hit the shores of Pawleys Island, and according to locals, the Gray Man appeared before each of the six storms.
