The Great Commission
from Chris Stuart - Tyndale’s Plowboy Hosted by cstpb
The central message of this sermon is that the Great Commission is a delegated task from God to make disciples of all nations, which can be completed and will result in closure when the full number of Gentiles has been reached. This commission is not just an ideal or a goal, but a specific job that requires effort and obedience from the church. The sermon advances the belief that God's plan for salvation is comprehensive and inclusive, reaching out to all nations, and that the church plays a crucial role in fulfilling this mission. The takeaway is that the Great Commission is not just a distant hope, but a tangible task that can be accomplished through individual churches taking responsibility for their part of it, working together as a collective body to make disciples and bring salvation to the world.
