The Great Commission

from Downtown Hope Hosted by Downtown Hope

Matthew 28.16-20 - David Bempong The Great Commission, found in Matthew 28:16-20, highlights how Jesus calls His followers to a life of purpose and mission. Just as the disciples stood on that mountain in Galilee, receiving a world-changing mandate, we too are invited into this divine mission: to make disciples, baptize, and teach others to follow Jesus. This isn’t just a task for the spiritually elite—it’s a call for all believers to bring the light of Christ into their everyday lives. Through His authority and power, Jesus equips ordinary people like us to be His agents of change, transforming our communities and beyond. So, through small acts of service or bold steps of faith, we are called to actively participate in God’s mission to reclaim and restore the world.
