The Great Escape - Food

An often and easily overlooked, but crucially important, aspect of escaping is the provision of food. In the Great Escape, the X Committee had an entire department dedicated to providing food rations for the escapers. Our regular host, Dave Robertson, himself a former professional chef, looks into the challenges the POWs faced regarding food provision, and how they managed to overcome those challenges to ensure the escapers had enough food to sustain them on their escape attempts.For You The War Is Over is a podcast that looks at the real life stories of Prisoner-of-War escapes from the the Second World War.
