When you think back to the very beginning of the pandemic you probably have a lot of memories on how society was. Who can forget the infamous fights over toiletries that swept the internet by storm, the mask mandates and of course the worldwide lockdowns and stay-at-home orders? But if you think about it, you probably remember the floods of people who ran to online church services out of fear of the unknown. Could this be it? Is this the moment Jesus will choose to return for His Church? These were thoughts of many. Then after a while the toilet paper was being supplied in abundance, mask mandates were lifted, lockdowns no longer existed and, you guessed it, people began to fall away from the gospel. Our world has gotten too comfortable with life these days. The things that once challenged us to do better and strive for more are mere memories. Now that church doors are closed, or closing again, many people have found that they no longer desire the things of God like they used to. Streaming services make it easier to multitask during church without ever giving our full attention to the voice of God. Look around, we are living in the times that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24.
