That is how the 2026 Great North American Maple Pie Contest was described after it was all over in the Green Mountains of central Vermont in the little town of North Chittenden. There was pie. There was maple. And it was all so Vermont-y. We knew what we were in for before it started as we talked with one of the founders of the Contest, Jacob Powsner who is part of the Baird Farm, the home field for this contest.
