We study it in school and laugh at the monkey's foolishness. Yet, when humans do the exact same thing in real life—trapping themselves in cycles of endless greed—we don't study them as a warning; we put them on magazine covers and hail them as icons. It's time to audit our cultural conditioning. Stop celebrating the trap.
