The Growing Season

I find it fascinating that it’s the time we celebrate the Lord’s birth that negative emotions and behaviors seem to surface more than at any other time of the year. I think that this occurs in Christians’ lives because of old habits that haven’t been dealt with, yet. In our Scripture reading today we are told to “put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” (Ephesians 4:22-24) This Holiday Season is an opportune time to do exactly what God’s Word is exhorting us to start doing. To help you with that, I want to share with you the “Three R’s” of Rule (The Golden Rule), Relationships, and Relinquish.
