The Hack Report - 13/12/2013
from Wannabe Hacks Hosted by Wannabe Hacks
In the second edition of The Hack Report, we are talking about journalism a little bit further away from home. In Syria and in Lebanon, to be precise. We hear more from Sunil Patel - the journalist who featured in a VICE article entitled "I went to Syria to learn to be a journalist and failed miserably at it while almost ending up dying a bunch of times" - as Katherine asks him if he had ever considered a more traditional route into journalism. Also in this issue: Venetia Rainey - one of the new international Hacks - reports from Lebanon on the benefits of working as a sub-editor. If you missed the first edition of the new-look podcast in November, you can catch up and listen to it on the Wannabe Hacks SoundCloud channel.
