It was a great honor and pleasure having Dr Miriam on my show! We went into many different aspects that play a significant role in burnout as it comes to stress and anxiety for medical doctors attempting to provide optimal care for there patients. We also went into discussions on the difficulty's and barriers medical doctors experience when attempting to get mental health or substance use services. Dr. Miriam expresses the many things medical doctors and our society can do to help or medical doctors get the help and support they need to be able to do there job at a high level as well as live happier lives. I also give Miriam the opportunity to express what her motivation and passion was for writing her new book “The 3G Cycle of Life. The Secrets for Achieving Joy, Meaning and Well-being”. Dr. Miriam health experience is triple Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Obesity Medicine with extensive clinical experience. She completed her medical education and Geriatric Fellowship in Peru and provided patient care for over 10 years at the Naval Geriatric Center. Dr. Zylberglait Lisigurski moved to the US in 2011 where she completed her training in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Z has a deep interest in the topics of well-being, burnout prevention, mental health, and leadership. She completed a fellowship in Leadership Education and Development with the AAMC, as well as a certification as a Mental Health Ally, and a Physician Wellness Advocate. For her dedication, she was selected as a member of the Wellness and Professional fulfillment National Committee of the American College of Physicians. In addition, she received the Award of Mentor of the Year from the AAMC in 2022.
