the Heart & the Head

In celebration of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month Welcome Switzerland (Canton of St. Gallen) No one can understand the heart, either their own or anyone else's. But God does. “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.” God sees beyond our behavior and understands the heart. And God sees how our behavior reveals our heart. - Jeremiah 17:10 Jesus told us the greatest command is to “Love the Lord your God will all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and all your strength” - Mark 12:30 All Prayed Up: Heavenly Father, We come before You with humble hearts, seeking to align our thoughts, intentions, and emotions with Your will. We pray that You help us have a head and heart that looks to You in all ways. Lord, we acknowledge that You are the source of wisdom, love, and truth. We ask that You grant us clarity of mind, that our thoughts may be guided by Your truth and filled with wisdom from above. May our intellect be devoted to seeking and understanding Your ways, and may it be used to bring glory to Your name. In addition, dear Lord, we ask that You touch our hearts. Soften and mold them to be aligned with Your heart. Fill us with compassion, love, and empathy for others, reflecting the character of Jesus Christ. May our emotions be anchored in You, finding solace and joy in Your presence, and may we respond to others with kindness and grace. Lord, we surrender our wills to You, knowing that Your plans are perfect and Your ways are higher than ours. Help us to trust You wholeheartedly, even when circumstances are challenging or unclear. Teach us to rely on You and seek Your guidance in every decision we make. May we fix our gaze upon You, dear Lord, in all ways and in all areas of our lives. Let Your light shine upon our path, illuminating the way forward. May our thoughts, intentions, and actions be directed by Your Holy Spirit, aligning us with Your perfect will. We thank You, Lord, for the privilege of knowing You and for the transformation You work within us. May our head and heart be continually turned toward You, finding peace, fulfillment, and purpose in Your presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. - Amen.
