Persistent sin can make people wonder whether God will finally turn away. Hosea 11 shows God judging Israel’s rebellion without taking pleasure in their pain; His compassion remains warm towards His sinful people. His grace never gives sin permission, but leads people to repent. Jesus promises that whoever comes to Him in faith will never be forced out.
