Long suffering can make Jesus seem distant or even cold. Yet He touched an isolated man with leprosy, and Hebrews says the risen Jesus still shares His people's pain as their priest before God. Because He faced testing without sin, sufferers can approach Him confidently for mercy and timely help in times of need.
