The Heart of the Nation? 50 years of The Australian - The Media

This is a special series of podcast brought to you with the support of Sky A-PAC and Macquarie University. Macquarie University's Centre for Media History is proud to announce a special symposium to mark the 50th anniversary of The Australian held on the 7th and 8th of July, 2014. Session four titled "The Media" aims to answers some important questions. Pat Clarke with his paper 'The Australian in Canberra' and Andrew Dodd & Matthew Ricketon's 'The Australian's Media Supplement: A Lapdog, A Watchdog, An Attackdog or all the above?' among other things discuss whether The Australian has reported fairly on its competitors or abused its power.
