The Heartbreaking and Senseless Murder of Ajike Owens

On this week’s episode, Hannah tells Lainey about the murder of Ajike “AJ” Owens. AJ was a mom to four beautiful children who were all under the age of 13 when she was taken from them. AJ and her children lived in Ocala, FL, in a neighborhood with a big open field to play in. All of the neighborhood kids had been playing in this field for years. Susan Lorincz lived in an apartment next to this field. She started calling police to complain about the kids being too loud and trespassing on her property by playing in the open field next to her home. It turns out that that field did not belong to Susan’s landlord so the children were allowed to continue playing there.  On June 2, 2023, AJ’s sons had been playing outside when Susan took one of their tablets. They told their mom who went over to Susan’s to confront her.
