The Heart’s Ascent

This meditation for the Solemnity of the Ascension explores Christ’s return to the Father as our own ultimate journey toward meaning and identity. As exiles and sojourners, we are called to a "lifelong ascension," shedding earthly baggage and embracing the hard climb of conversion to sit with Christ in the heavenly places. By beholding the Lord’s glory in both the mundane and the struggle, we ask the Holy Spirit to transform us, helping us to plant the cross at the summit of every human activity.
