Krista Simpson Anderson still remembers the day she got the call her husband, the loud and proud Green Beret Michael H. Simpson, had been severely injured while deployed in Afghanistan. Five days later, she received the news he wouldn't be coming back home. If it wasn't for the various organizations and families that picked Krista up after this news left her and her two young children absolutely devastated -- she doesn't know how she would have made it through. Now, she's dedicated her life to supporting veterans and military families in the same selfless way she was once supported.
