The Highlands Corridor, Protected Spaces and the Climate Emergency

Canada has committed to increasing the amount of protected spaces and intact ecosystems from its current level of 12% to 30% by 2030. Currently, only about 11% of Ontario’s land mass is protected so we have a very long way to go.
