The History and legacy of The Sears Wish Book

Today on the marketplace of ideas podcast we’re going to be talking about the legacy and the history of the Sears wish book and the Consumers distributing magazine. From the 1960s until the mid 2000s the Sears wish book was a staple among American and Canadian households. It would be delivered at the end of August and children and adults alike would gather around it circling all the toys they wanted,studying all the pages and soaking up all of the goodness that was in those pages. Hoping against all hope to see those gifts on that page materialize under the tree for Christmas morning. So we take a look down memory lane at a time that we most likely will never experience again.
