Gorm is taken captive for what his ancestors did hundreds of years ago. He pleads and tries to reason with the king, but King Odio will hear none of it. His mind is filled with hatred of Gorm's clan. Nothing can free Gorm from his fate now. This story was written for NYC Midnight's Short Story competition. I got the opportunity to compete against over 6,000 participants. It was a great opportunity to see how far my writing has come in the past few years.
