THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG (2013) Movie Reaction! | First Time Watch! | Martin Freeman

Michael & Brandon continue their journey through Middle-earth with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, following Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, and the company of dwarves as their quest to reclaim Erebor brings them closer to the Lonely Mountain and its fearsome dragon guardian, Smaug. As the journey grows more dangerous, the group encounters giant spiders, hostile elves, and deadly enemies while Bilbo’s connection to the One Ring deepens. This continued reaction stands out for its epic fantasy adventure, stunning world-building, and escalating stakes, as Michael & Brandon react to every thrilling encounter, emotional moment, and dragon-sized reveal in real time. Directed by Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings trilogy, King Kong, They Shall Not Grow Old, The Lovely Bones, Heavenly Creatures), the film stars Martin Freeman (Sherlock, The Office UK, Black Panther, Fargo, Love Actually), Ian McKellen (The Lord of the Rings, X-Men, Beauty and the Beast, Gods and Monsters, Mr. Holmes), Richard Armitage (The Hobbit trilogy, Castlevania, Hannibal, North & South, Ocean’s 8), Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock, Doctor Strange, Avengers: Endgame, The Imitation Game, Star Trek Into Darkness), and Orlando Bloom (The Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Kingdom of Heaven, Troy, Carnival Row), bringing together a cast tied to major fantasy franchises, blockbuster films, and fan-favorite performances that continue to drive strong reaction and crossover audience appeal. ___________________________________________________ We've got merch!
