The Holy Cross: Instrument of our Deliverance & our Healing

Today we celebrate Mass for the Feast of the Finding of the Holy Cross; a Feast Day that celebrates how the Holy Cross of our Lord was discovered by St. Helen, mother of St. Constantine, after the Roman persecution of Christ and His Church. What a blessing we have so soon after Holy Week of remembering the might and loving work of Jesus Christ for us upon the Cross once again. Today we remember two revelations of what Christ accomplished for us as He lowered Himself to suffering and death on the Cross. By the Cross, we are delivered as Satan and the demonic are thrown down and maimed. And, by the Cross of Christ, we are healed. The moments in time of Christ our God upon the Cross were the very moments where everything changes. The Fall is undone and the age of the salvation of mankind is opened.
