The Holy Hieromartyrs of Cherson: Faith and Martyrdom in the Fourth Century

Today we remember the Holy Hieromartyrs of Cherson: Basil, Ephraim, Capito, Eugene, Aetherius, Elpidius, and Agathodorus. These bishops brought the Gospel to the North Black Sea region during the fourth century and gave their lives for Christ, except for Aetherius, who died peacefully. Their story is a powerful witness to faith in difficult times. The Orthodox Church commemorates these saints on March 7. Their lives and sacrifices are recorded in the Synaxarion, reminding us of the early spread of Christianity and the courage of those who preached the Gospel there.Support the show
