The Holy Spirit was involved in the death of Jesus – the Messiah… Already in the Old Testament, the Prophet Isaiah prophesied that the Spirit would come upon the Messiah… The prophecy in Isaiah 42 points towards the Messiah who would have the Holy Spirit upon Him and Messiah would bring justice to the Gentiles. When Jesus died on the cross, the Holy Spirit was with Him, and it was through the Holy Spirit that His blood was able to wash away our sin.
