The Holy Spirit: Free To Matter

How many times would you say that you thought about God the Father this past week? Now, whatwould be the number for Jesus? Most can say some decent numbers from those two questions. But what if I asked, how many times did you think about the Holy Spirit this past week? I bet that the number is significantly lower. Can you imagine skipping 1/3 of your job? Can you imagine not being a faithful spouse 1/3 of the time? How about not paying 1/3 of your bills? Would those things turn out well? How about eating 1/3 less this next week...oh wait, that would probably be beneficial for most of us!Well, this morning we are going study together the most often forgotten person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit. I don't think our lack of Holy Spirit focus is intentional or even lazy as much as some unclear theology and lack of understanding. Holy Spirit, this morning we pray that you would rain down on the church that meets at 9300 Bee Cave. We pray that you would lead, fill, inspire, and produce more Jesus likeness in us today as we gather.
