The Holy Spirit Gives Warnings

* Genesis 6:3And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”* Exodus 34:6And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth* 2 Corinthians 6:2For He says:“In an acceptable time I have heard you,And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”* Luke 12:20But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’* Romans 11:22Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.* Jonah 3:4-10And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!”5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them. 6 Then word came to the king of Nineveh; and he arose from his throne and laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth and sat in ashes. 7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying,Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water. 8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes, let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands. 9 Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?10 Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.* Lamentations 3:22Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,Because His compassions fail not.* Hebrews 3:7-87 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:“Today, if you will hear His voice,8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,In the day of trial in the wildernessScripture for Study* Genesis 4:6-7* Genesis 18:25* Matthew 3:7-10* Luke 12:13-21Thanks for Listening to The Bowdell Podcast.
