The Honolulu Exorcism Story: 1970s Kalihi Possession Mystery, Hawaiian Spiritual Beliefs & Catholic Exorcism | Revisited: 013

The Honolulu Exorcism Story explores a whispered 1970s Kalihi case in Honolulu, Hawaii—an alleged possession story at the crossroads of Catholic exorcism, Native Hawaiian spiritual beliefs, oral history, and local ghost lore. This episode follows what can be documented, separates fact from legend, and asks what really happened when a young woman’s private suffering became part of Hawaii’s darker folklore. There is no clean public file, no fully verified identity, and no confirmed official record that settles this case. What does exist is real context: Catholic teaching on exorcism, modern reporting on Hawaii’s exorcists, Hawaiian healing traditions such as ho'oponopono, and preserved Kalihi stories about spirit possession, fear, and memory in the neighborhood. If you’re drawn to Hawaii true crime, Hawaiian ghost stories, unsolved mysteries, exorcism cases, possession stories, and the line between religion, culture, and fear, this episode is for you.
