The Hour Has Come

On the Saturday before His crucifixion, Jesus is anointed by Mary at a dinner in his honor in Bethany. At the dinner, Judas the betrayer criticizes Mary as well as dishonors Jesus. On Sunday, Jesus, rides the royal mount of a purebred donkey colt into Jerusalem as the crowds acclaim Him as King. Later that day, Gentile ‘God-fearers,’ in Jerusalem for Passover, come to see Jesus. Jesus responds with a parable about His upcoming death—the purpose of which is to give life.  |  John 12:1-26
