The House of God and the Heart of Man | HAGGAI 1:1–2:9

What happens when God’s people grow comfortable while His house remains in ruins? In this study, we begin our 2-part journey through the book of Haggai, a prophetic call to re examine misplaced priorities and return to faithful obedience. The message given to Israel still speaks powerfully today. When we neglect the spiritual for the material, our efforts become empty, but when we honor God first, He restores purpose and provision. This is the first episode in my study through the book of Haggai. In The Wisdom Crucible, I aim to refine understanding through careful study and reflection. Here, we consider how God used Haggai to awaken His people from complacency and renew their commitment to build His house, both the physical temple then and the spiritual devotion He still calls His people to today. May this message move you to consider your ways, bringing every decision beneath the Lord’s authority, so that your life may be aligned with His covenant and filled with His sustaining grace.
