The House Of The Devil (2009) with Jamie Alvey

from The Brandon Peters Show

Well, it’s been quite some time since we’ve had a normal, straightforward episode of the show. A combination of things happened here. I wanted a little break after working hard on The Summer of 82 at 40 series, I had a vacation the first week of September and then I caught Covid pretty bad from said Vacation. But, I appear to be good now and am ready to get back to the grind. The originally planned episode for the end of September didn’t quite work out, but no worries (Greg will be on next week). Jamie Alvey returns to help kick off Year 3 here on the show and our October month of some spooky stuff. We are discussing a personal favorite horror film of mine, Ti West’s 2009 film, The House of the Devil. Well before Stranger Things brought back the 80s nostalgia and before The Artist made a Best Picture movie of a throwback film, Ti West nailed it better than them all in his 3rd film which features triple threat darling, Greta Gerwig in a supporting role. I drool over this film a lot, but Jamie and I have a fantastic conversation about it. -Brandon The Brandon Peters Show will return Wednesday (10/5) with Old Space Show TECHNICAL INFORMATIONVocalsBrandon – Shure SM58-LCJamie – Laptop Microphone (Recorded with Zoom) Post ProductionNCH Wavepad Masters Edition v8.38NCH MixPad Masters v5.22The Levelator 2 RUNTIME: 78 minutes The House of the Devil is available on DVD and Blu-ray.
