The Human Touch_ How AI Might Affect Creativity and Relationships
from Conspiracy Theories Exploring The Unseen · host Michael Fortune
Today, we’re diving into a thought-provoking topic that’s buzzing in our modern world: the impact of artificial intelligence on our core human abilities, specifically, our creativity and the way we connect with others. While AI is becoming more integrated into our daily lives, some voices are raising concerns about whether this technology is actually undermining some of our key human traits.Let’s start with creativity. We often think of AI as a tool that can generate new ideas, but recent research shows a more complicated picture. In an experiment involving over 800 participants, it was found that while AI can help increase the diversity of ideas in a group setting, it doesn’t necessarily make individual creativity better. So, while we might see a variety of options coming from AI, that doesn’t mean it enhances our personal creative thinking in the same way.Interestingly, a study from Adobe tells us that about 86% of global creators are using generative AI in their work, and 81% say it enables them to create things they otherwise couldn’t.
