Gura has more than 20 years of experience in practicing mindfulness meditation. He is the Executive Director of the nonprofit Association of Mindfulness Meditation and Secular Buddhism. He is also an atheist, humanist, freethinker and practitioner of vipassana, a mindfulness meditation technique that was developed more than 2,500 years ago and does not require faith in gurus, religion, God(s), or the supernatural.
