The Humble Shepherds | 'Awaiting Advent' Week Three

In the third week of our series, we turn our attention to the shepherds who received the angelic announcement of Jesus' birth. Drawing from the prophecies of Isaiah 9:2 and Micah 5:2, we understand the significance of the shepherds' presence at this divine moment. Their encounter with the angels and witnessing the newborn Savior in Luke 2:8-20 symbolizes the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies of a Savior who would be the sacrificial Lamb of God.
