On this episode Paul and Cody welcomed Associate Professor Bridget Haire, Dr Kate Burry and Professor Adam Bourne to the JOY Airwaves.  The topic of discussion in this episode is the Australian five-year Interconnect Health Research Project – https://interconnect.org.au/ Associate Professor Bridget Haire is an empirical bioethicist. Bridget has over a decade’s experience in conducting participatory research on sex, sexuality and gender issues in collaboration with community partners. Dr Kate Burry brings over a decade of experience in sexual, domestic and family violence, human rights, and sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice. Also present is Professor Adam Bourne.  Adam brings more than 15 years’ experience in health and wellbeing research among marginalised populations with a particular focus on LGBTIQ+ communities. A hugely significant piece of work the Interconnect Project is striving to develop co- designed, integrated, person-centred models of care to improve the physical and mental health of people with innate variations of sex characteristics.
