The Ills of this World and How to Cope

I implore Thee to assist me and them that love Thee, to magnify Thy word, and to endow us with such strength that the ills of this world and its tribulations will be powerless to prevent us from remembering Thee and from extolling Thy virtues. For there are some who dwell on the plane of Divine Unity and speak of that world, and some inhabit the realms of limitation, and some the grades of self, while others are completely veiled. Thus do the ignorant people of the day, who have no share of the radiance of the divine Beauty, make certain claims and, in every age and cycle, inflict upon the people of the ocean of Divine Unity what they themselves deserve. O Beloved of my heart and soul, I have no refuge save Thee. I raise no voice at dawn, save in Thy commemoration and praise. Thy love encompasseth me and Thy grace is perfect.   It befitteth Thee to blot out from the hearts of all beings whatsoever may keep them back from gaining sanctuary of Thy divine Mysteries.   Make my prayer, O my Lord, a fountain of living waters whereby I may live as long as Thy sovereignty endureth, and may make mention of Thee in every world of Thy worlds. Thy name is my healing, O my God, and remembrance of Thee is my remedy. Be fair to yourselves and to others, that the evidences of justice may be revealed. Cause me to rest under the shadow of the wings of Thy grace, for the flame of my separation from Thee hath melted my heart within me. Draw me nearer unto the river that is life indeed.
