The ministry of Jesus was counterintuitive – he had 30 some years to change the world and he chose only 3. He chose ordinary people from a few different walks of life instead of the best of the best. When given the opportunity – he preached hard truths that pushed people away instead of preaching, “peace, peace, when there was no peace.” Through all of this we are left with a selflessness that actively pushes all of the responsibility then subsequent glory of a changed people into the hands of God.
