The Imperfect Life Coach

from I AM PASTOR DEB · host Pastor Deb

We Want To Hear From YOU!This morning I want to talk to you about King Solomon.  Solomon was declared as the wisest man that has ever lived.  God asked him to ask for what he desired and he asked for wisdom. 1 Kings 3:11-14. So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, 12 I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. 13 Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for—both wealth and honor—so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings. 14 And if you walk in obedience to me and keep my decrees and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life.”I have to share a disclaimer with you about King Solomon, the wisest man to ever live, who allowed himself to be pulled and swayed to walk in disobedience to God.  You see Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines, which many Kings did in biblical times, despite God mandate concerning marriage, adultery and sexual immorality.  And to add insult to injury many of his wives believed in different gods and  led him into public idolatry and this greatly angered God because Soloman’s heart had turned away from Him, as He haad forbidden Solomon to follow other gods. The consequence for Solomon not keeping the LORD’s command, was steep as God told Solomon that he would remove the kingdom from him.I wanted to share the details of all of Solomon’s reign from being humble enough to know and desire wisdom, to being imperfect enough, and flesh driven to blatantly disobey the command of God with all his wisdom intact. You have people who would discount Solomon's wisdom declaring that because he took the road of disobedience he could not be that wise.  When that is so far from the truth. We have become a society of people who would embrace  cancel culture, who dismiss truth when it is not delivered in a manner we deem suitable when the fact is truth is truth, regardless of how it comes, or if it gains any popularity. Matthew 23:1-3 reads  Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses' seat, 3 so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice.Support the showwww.BibleDeliverance.org
