The Importance of Being Looney; Review of Boo Appetweet, Plunger and Bubble Dum

In this week's episode, Matt Jacobs joins to review the first publically released episode of The Looney Tunes Cartoons! (Boo! Appetweet, Plunger, Bubble Dum) We also discuss the importance of having a storyboard driven room for the shorts in the reboot and then we play a game to see if we can identify defining traits of some of the iconic characters within the series! The creativity shown in this series so far is so promising and respectful to the source material that it's hard not to love what these individual teams are doing with these cherished characters.  Boo! Appetweet - A short starring Tweety (Eric Bauza), Sylvester the Cat (Jeff Bergman) and Granny (Candi Milo). This short has references to Ghostbusters and A Christmas Carol, which makes this an instant classic! 3.5/5 Carrots!     Plunger - A musically driven short featuring Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd where Elmer tries to suck Bugs out of his hole via usage of a plunger. The water color backgrounds and amazing animation of its central characters make this a work of art that can be enjoyed by all ages. I wish it was a bit longer because the premise is so strong, but that's a minor gripe. 2.5/5 Carrots!     Bubble Dum - When Daffy Duck (Eric Bauza) accidentally steps on a piece of street bubblegum that he previously chewed, he pulls out all the stops to get it off.   Did you play the description game along with us? I understand that the Looney Tunes are more similar to actors than specific character types, but there are certain constants that you can point at and that's what we aimed to do.
