The importance of CD47 in MDS and other targets of interest

from VJHemOnc Podcast · host VJHemOnc

CD47 is a cell surface protein which is overexpressed in several cancer cells and appears to play an important role in a variety of hematological malignancies, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML), lymphoma, and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). Currently, several anti-CD47 agents are under investigation for MDS, with promising results being demonstrated in clinical trials.  In this exclusive podcast, you will hear from Naval Daver, MD, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, Uwe Platzbecker, MD, University of Leipzig, Leipzig, Germany, and David Sallman, MD, Moffit Cancer Center, Tampa, FL, who discuss the important role of CD47 in MDS, agents under investigation, and other targets of interest in this space.
