The Incomparable Weight of Glory

In this message, we explore the biblical imagery of ancient scales and balances as a way to understand suffering and glory. As fellow heirs with Christ, Christians are called to suffer with Him in a hostile world, just as our Lord did-yet Paul weighs these present sufferings on the divine scale in Romans 8:17-18 and declares them not even worthy of comparison to the eternal weight of glory that will be revealed to us. Drawing from Paul's own extensive hardships and glimpses of heavenly glory, the sermon urges believers to stop focusing solely on temporary trials and instead place all our pain, loss, and affliction on the scale against the infinite promises of God: a new heavens and earth, the full presence of Christ, and unending joy.
