If you are already aware of these and applying them consistently, I applaud you:            ·        Exercising just 20-30 minutes, 3-5 times per week can cause the pituitary gland to flood your body with endorphins, significantly reducing the causes of depression while elevating moods. A few other benefits are increased immune system, expanded creativity, clarity of mind, improved learning potential and retention of information, along with many more benefits.·        Several reports, including one by Stanford University and the New York Times, have indicated that endorphins are 200 times more powerful than morphine. They can act as painkillers! Some even describe the effects of endorphins as a “euphoric” feeling or “runners high”.·        Regular exercise also reduces cortisol in the body and brain, often producing better sleep patterns and aiding in weight loss. Some studies indicate as much as a 23% reduction in cortisol.·        Those who exercise regularly tend to have much higher energy levels and keener senses including the ability to focus on projects without becoming fatigued for long periods of time.Are you convinced yet? There are many, many other benefits but almost no consequences for the average individual. Even those with disabilities can find ways to exercise within their limitations. Exercise does not have to be complicated or even cost a lot.
