The Inexplicable Power of Laura Loomer

James and Lisa discuss the Justice Dept.'s bullying of Letitia James, how badly the Trump Tariffs could hurt the auto supply business and a big "oops" at the National Weather Service. Then the topic moves to Laura Loomer and her persistent, but hard-to-explain power over Trump Administration hiring. We're witnessing what could be the stupidest era in American history.Donald Trump and his supporters are spreading fringe ideas, conspiracy theories, anti-intellectualism, and a rejection of science, which are all gaining a foothold in our public discourse. It's maddening. It has never been more important for Americans to stand up for democracy. You don't have to face stupidity alone. Every week (more or less), "Life in the Stupid Times" will examine the insanity to help you make sense of the growing pile of nonsense. We are proudly pro-democracy and anti-fascist.To support the show, visit our Buy Me a Coffee account at https://coff.ee/lifeinthestupidtimes Hosted on Acast.
