The Infamous Whiskey Journey: High Notes & High Spirits With Lorenze Tremonti Part 2

from Lure of the Lake

Have you ever thought about opening your own distillery? If you’re like me, probably not. But wouldn’t it be cool to know someone who is doing just that? After today you will! Saying my guest has lived an interesting life is a bit of an understatement. Growing up in Sonoma County, Lorenze Tremonti enjoyed a peaceful, rural California childhood. Then he and a few friends formed Triple Deep, a music group that performed all over the Bay area, with a unique blend of music, that he describes as a fusion of funk, hip hop and pop, definitely a high energy sound and a lot of fun! Their popularity grew and a music deal eventually brought them to the East Coast, where they continued to record and perform. After a good deal of musical success and a lot of great stories, life happened and the members went on their individual life journeys. We’ll talk about the story that ultimately brought Lorenze to the lake area, some 20 years ago. Then, as often happens, a series of random events not only gives Lorenze an interest in learning distilling, but ultimately brings the members of the band back together in the new venture, Infamous Whiskey! You will love this story! And, of course, we’ll talk about their new distillery operation that is finding a home in downtown Greensboro. And if you ever wondered about what the distilling process is like, you will learn about that too!
