The Inner Lamp

The Daystars of ancient splendor have shed their radiance in the heaven of Thine irrevocable decree. Be not grieved if affairs and troubles wax intense on all sides. Verily, thy Lord changeth hardship into faculty, troubles into ease, and afflictions into great composure. Grant, O Thou loving Lord, that all may stand firm and steadfast, shining with everlasting splendor, so that at every breath, gentle breezes may flow from the bowers of thy loving kindness. O my God, I have set out from my home holding fast to the cord of Thy love, and I have committed myself wholly to thy care and Thy protection. O Son of Man! Neglect not My commandments if thou lovest My beauty, and forget not My counsels if thou wouldst attain My good pleasure. All praise be to thee, O my God, for the things Thou didst ordain for me through Thy decree and by the power of Thy sovereignty. Keep us firm in Thy cause. Ordain for me, O my Lord, and for those who believe in Thee, that which is best for. Us in Thy estimation. Wherefore, O ye beloved of the Lord and friends of God, arise, and with the whole enthusiasm of your heart, with all the eagerness of your soul, strive to unfurl the standards of unity in the midmost heart of the world.
