THE INNER STORY THAT DOESN'T WANT YOU TO FEEL BETTER : #272
from The Like Attracts Like Podcast · host Pat Mahan
Its not something many of us will admit.. It is something that took me the majority of my life to actually admit .. and then the next portion of this life working on tools that will allow me to change the perspective on that story. The most important part for me was realizing that I was leaving out a critical step for most of this process.. and the second I included it was when things began to change.. It may sound funny,... But you have to ask permission for YOU to change that story you tell... You can't just try and insert a new word.. or a new idea.. or even a new thought .. Here is why :: There is a gate keeper of your story... This gate keeper ( OF YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS STORY ) has been trained and placed in your mind between anything you want that is outside of the guidelines of the story you are telling.. and the beliefs you have.. The gatekeepers job is manage and maintain the content and frequency of this story.. any new information that rivals what it is that you have wired yourself to say or do or think will be tossed out and not even considered or brought to your awareness .. It was only realizing what was happening .. I was literally "unknowingly" stopping myself from feeling good... self sabotage allllll the way .... frustrating ... Because I wasn't letting all of the reasons inside of the gatekeepers domain to be entered into the process... It was too hard or painful... so it stayed blocked... Once you make the CHOICE to allow yourself to change the story.. You can ask permission from that gatekeeper and hear it say that It is on board... It was only protecting you... but now it is ready to allow a new story to be written... Scripted and designed now deliberately by YOU : ))) Much Love Today !!! Likeattractslike11.com
