"Eternal Father, Hear Our Prayer," the official institutional United States Army Hymn, was composed in June 2024 by Chaplain (MAJ) James F. Linzey, U.S. Army (Ret.), in memory of the Four Chaplains Immortal of the USAT Dorchester. Major General William D. Waff, U.S. Army (Ret.), Executive Director of the Military Chaplains Association, has declared it the Official United States Army Hymn.
