Drawing from her own personal experiences with grief, she developed a unique approach and training program that centers around the transformative power of safe and gentle touch. Having gone through the sudden and traumatic loss of two family members in her twenties, Aimee carries a profound understanding of grief. In her early forties now, she feels deeply honored to have touched the lives of many individuals through her work in Grief Massage. Her contributions have been recognized with Grief Massage Community Service Grants from The Massage Therapy Foundation. Aimee has also published an insightful article on Grief Massage in Massage and Bodywork magazine. Through her organization, The Institute for Grief Massage Inc., she has had the privilege of training Grief Massage practitioners from the United States, Canada, Australia, and France. Aside from her expertise in Grief Massage, Aimee holds a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has gained valuable experience as a Grief Counseling Intern at a hospice organization, further enhancing her ability to support individuals through their grief journeys. Aimee is happily married and her days are filled with the delightful excitement and unbridled joy brought by her young toddler.
