God has raised a bar for Christians that is too high for them to hurdle in their own strength. God expects us to be holy just as He is holy [1 Peter 1:15-16] This expectation is not just for those in ministry, but everyone who calls upon Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The more we learn about and strive to be holy like God, the more our own sinfulness is revealed.
