The Interview Show with The Raveonettes #23
from The Interview Show · host Scott Wood
The Raveonettes make beautiful but edgy music. For example, “Last Dance” has a simple upbeat melody, but is about a relationship with a drug addict. They would probably be a much bigger band, if they “sold out” and wrote bubblegum lyrics to match their haunting melodies. I like to think of The Raveonettes as a long lost soundtrack to a forgotten David Lynch film. The band is a duo of two Danes, Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo. I reached Sune Rose Wagner (the guy in the band) on his cell phone. I don’t know if the Danes are known for being succinct and frank, but Sune certainly is both. Tracks played on the show... 1) The Raveonettes "Last Dance" 2) The Raveonettes "Bang!" 3) The Raveonettes "My Boyfriend's Back" (The Angels cover) 4) The Raveonettes "Boys Who Rape (Should All Be Destroyed)" 5) The Raveonettes "Heart Of Stone" NO songs CANCON
