Prior to becoming a career firefighter Eric served his country with the At Sea Fire Fighting Team in the US Navy. Eric has been a member of the PFD Special Operations since 2002, and a Hazardous Materials Technician since 1999. Eric has proudly served with the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Team PATF-1 since 2004 serving in the positions as Rescue Specialist, Technical Search Specialist and Technical Search Manager. Eric is the Co-Owner of FAST Rescue Solutions LLC and the creator of the FAST Rescue Board and firefighter rescue training techniques. Eric remains both a student and Instructor of Firefighter Rescue, teaching throughout the world in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the Far East. Eric strongly believes that Advanced Rescue does not exist, and that Rescue is simply the building of a solid foundation of basic skills, one on top of another until mastered by the student.
